Kris Aquino’s close friend, Dindo Balares, went online to debunk false rumors about the television host’s supposed death, stressing that she is very much alive.

Balares revealed that he was in contact with Kris just recently. “Nagkakontakan kami ni Krisy sa messaging app kinagabihan, and yes, good news, she’s really alive! I told her about the death hoax spreading in some papers,” he wrote on Facebook.

He shared screenshots of their exchange, noting that Kris herself speculated the rumors may have stemmed from her latest medical results. She sent him photos of herself in a hospital bed along with updates on her condition. “My BP was going crazy. My WBC dropped. Waiting for my doctors to explain,” Kris said.

Balares added that Kris had been rushed to the hospital due to alarming blood pressure. “‘My BP NOW. Scary,’ she told me. ‘When it reached 172/112, I asked Alvin to call St. Luke’s for an ambulance.’ Still, Kris reassured me, saying: ‘Don’t worry, kuya Dindo. Kaya pa.’

He closed his post with a message to her fans: “Please don’t worry. Kris continues to battle many illnesses, but she remains brave. As she said herself—kaya pa!”
